Welcome to the transformative power of
the Spinal Flow Technique (SFT)
I am excited that you have chosen to tap into your body’s incredible ability to heal and thrive. The Spinal Flow Technique (SFT) is designed to support you on a journey towards optimal wellness, function, and vitality. This gentle yet profound healing modality works with the very foundation of your body – the spine and nervous system – unlocking the flow of energy and messages to every cell, tissue, organ, and system. When this flow is blocked or disrupted, it can lead to discomfort, pain and imbalance and may eventually lead to illness and disease. When this foundation is restored, your body can experience amazing transformations. Please scroll down to learn more.
The Spinal Flow Technique
-
The Spinal Flow Technique is based on the science of your body’s master control system: the brain, spinal cord, and nervous system, which govern your entire being. These essential parts of your body send messages up and down the spine, connecting to every system, organ, every part of you. When there is a blockage or disruption in this flow – due to physical, emotional, or chemical stress- the results can be felt as pain, discomfort, and a reduced sense of well-being.
SFT is here to support you in moving from a ‘stress zone’ to a ‘healing zone’. This transformative technique gently restores the natural alignment of the spine and encourages the body’s innate ability to heal itself.
-
Your body is constantly bombarded by stressors – physical, emotional, and chemical – that can cause blockages in the spine and disrupt the flow of energy and messaging. Over time, the blockages can accumulate, leading to discomfort or dysfunction. Here is the exciting news: your body’s innate intelligence has an amazing capacity to heal itself! Through gentle touch, SFT practitioners activate specific access points in the sacral area and cranium, stimulating the dura matter (the protective layer around your spinal cord) and triggering unique spinal wave. This wave increases ease and flexibility, allowing your body to release blockages, restore function, and enhance overall well-being. Each individual spinal wave is unique, and your wave may change in nature and intensity from session to session. During your session, you may experience stillness, movement, make sounds, or feel deeply relaxed. Trust your body to do what it needs. Everyone’s healing journey is different, and some days you might feel amazing, while other days you might experience temporary discomfort as your body releases what no longer serves you. Whatever your experience, know what it is all part of the process.
-

The Spinal Flow Technique is a hands-on healing modality that focuses on healing pain, illness and disease by releasing spinal blockages caused by unresolved stress. Spinal Flow Practitioners receive extensive training in the nervous system and the seven Gateways of the spine. They awaken the Spinal Flow, allowing healing Life Force Energy to move through each vertebra and reach every cell in the body.
Chiropractic
Compared to chiropractic Spinal Flow does not involve cracking or manipulation but instead focuses on moving Life Force Energy through the spine and nervous system. However chiropractic and osteopathy recognise that there is an innate intelligence within the body which knows how to regulate, repair and rejuvenate the body – in the Spinal Flow Technique we call this innate intelligence the “Life Force Energy”, and the Spinal Flow is a clear sign that it is flowing properly through the nervous system to help people heal.
Network Chiropractic
Network Chiropractic works with a spinal wave, however they do not recognise the 7 Gateways, which are a key aspect in the Spinal Flow Technique which allows you to identify the cause of pain, illness and disease.
Osteopathy
Osteopathy may focus on the cranial sacral fluids (CSF) that bathes the brain and spine. In the Spinal Flow Technique, the CSF will naturally flow in conjunction with awakening the Spinal Flow.
Spinal Energetics
Spinal Energetics works with the energy field of the body without touching the body directly. The Spinal Flow Technique will shift the energy field, including the chakras, through working with the body to awaken the Spinal Flow. The 7 Gateways of the spine are a key aspect of the Spinal Flow Technique and they have a direct connection to the chakras – to awaken the Spinal Flow through the 7 Gateways we touch the body and the spine directly instead of only working in the energy field like Spinal Energetics.
Sacral Occipital Technique (SOT)
The Sacral Occipital Technique is a beautiful modality that works with blocks and bolsters to connect the sacrum and the occiput. Dr Carli has studied SOT, and incorporates aspects of this work through the use of bolsters in the Spinal Flow Technique.
Reiki
While Reiki also works with the nervous system, it is an energy modality that operates in the energy field rather than directly with the body. Spinal Flow Practitioners undergo extensive training in the nervous system to support the body’s natural ability to heal itself.
Your Healing Journey
-
Each person’s healing journey is unique! Some people notice immediate improvements, while others may take a little longer – especially if they have had long-standing health challenges. Children often respond quickly, while adults with chronic conditions might experience a more gradual process.
SFT is not just about relieving symptoms, it is about getting to the core of the issue and this may take time – it is about supporting you in maintaining a high standard of health. Just like brushing your teeth or eating nourishing foods, regular check-ins with Spinal Flow care can help you maintain harmony, balance, ease, and well-being in body, heart, and mind.
-
Initial Intensive Care:
This is where many people begin their journey. In this phase, we focus on reducing or eliminating your most obvious symptoms, which may require frequent sessions depending on the severity of your condition.
Corrective Care:
Once your main symptoms diminish, the focus shifts to stabilizing spinal function and promoting long-term healing.
Wellness Care:
This is the maintenance phase, where clients continue to benefit from regular Spinal Flow care to keep minor issues from escalating. This phase supports you in living a vibrant, healthy, and balanced life, fully embracing your body’s miraculous ability to heal.
-
Your SFT sessions are tailored specifically to you. We work together to find the best schedule for your needs, whether it is intensive care, regular check-ups, or wellness maintenance. For acute or long-standing conditions, up to three sessions per day with appropriate breaks are available – ideal for those traveling a long distance for care.
Every healing process is unique, and your response to each session may vary. Trust that your body knows exactly what it needs!
